New Device Profiles Oven-Cure Products

THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 2017

Fluke Process Instruments (Santa Cruz, Calif.) has released its latest device for profiling oven cure paint- and powder-coated products.

The Datapaq EasyTrack 3 system is equipped with a data logger made with a light polycarbonate casing, which FPI says can withstand harsh treatment and/or temperatures up to 212 degrees Fahrenheit without distortion or any harm to the electronics. Versions with either four or six thermocouple channels are available.

Fluke says the loggers use replaceable 9-volt batteries, which are boosted by intelligent power management. That ensures extended battery life for 50 or more profiling runs.

The company notes that data is stored in a nonvolatile memory, with its capacity tripled to up to 18,000 readings per channel.

Features

EasyTrack 3 is compatible with a number of thermal barriers to maintain proper logger temperatures throughout the job, the company says, and FPI offers various thermocouples with PFTE cables rated up to 590 degrees Fahrenheit.

FPI adds that calibration certificates stored on the logger can be printed at the user’s convenience. The device’s software starts automatically when connected to a PC via a USB cable. Users can change the language when reviewing and analyzing data, and logger diagnostics are easily accessed via a reference guide and animated tutorials.

Fluke says status data for remote diagnostics can be emailed to the manufacturer’s tech support.

Fluke Process Instruments notes that its new pro version logger can carry out up to three consecutive profiling runs before data is downloaded to a PC. The device has a traffic light indicator that instantly shows if process criteria have been met.

FPI adds that Datapaq EasyTrack Insight Professional software includes advanced analysis functions such as rise/fall; peak difference; area under curve calculation; marking of as many as six oven zones in the temperature graph; a probe map for high repeatability; saved zooms for reviewing and sharing of data; and customized profile reports.
