Equity Firms Buy Powder Coating Firm

A major player in the United Kingdom’s architectural powder coating industry has been acquired.

Equity firms Aspinall Capital Partners and Perscitus LLP announced the acquisition of Vertik-Al, of Birmingham, billed as the first company to introduce vertical powder coating of aluminum in the U.K. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Vertik-Al’s customer base is made up of major aluminum extruders and system design fabricators. The company boasts quick delivery times, market leading quality and superb customer service, according to the private equity partners.

Vertik-Al has invested significantly in its plant and equipment and has one of the few vertical powder coating lines in the UK. The company also boasts three horizontal powder coating production lines and provides polyamide rolling, taping and thermal break polyamide services.

Under the terms of the agreement, Vertik-Al and its group companies have become subsidiaries of a newly formed holding company.

“The family owned business has consistently delivered reliable, high quality services and products to the construction industry over 50 years and we are keen to maintain these standards into the future as we pursue new growth opportunities,” commented Adrian Field, partner at Perscitus.
