SSPC: 2017 Conference Participants Up

SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings has revealed that SSPC 2017, held Jan. 30-Feb. 2 in Tampa, Florida, posted positive numbers in terms of registrations and exhibit booths.

According to SSPC, the conference boasted more registrations, more exhibiting companies (including more first-time exhibitors), more overall booths and more full conference participants than the previous year’s show. In addition, most numbers outpaced every year since SSPC returned to hosting an independent conference in 2011, the organization says.

SSPC specifically points out strong numbers in terms of full conference participants. There was a nearly 20 percent increase in the number of people who chose to participate in the technical program, the organization says, attributing the gains to measures taken to keep the program educational and exciting.

"We're extremely pleased with overall attendance at the SSPC conference this year," said SSPC executive director Bill Worms. "We're especially proud of the huge effort put forth from our members, volunteers and staff. The improvements in the 2017 event are a great foundation for SSPC to build on as we look to expand the conference in future years."
