SPF to Seal, Repair Commercial Roofs
ICP Adhesives & Sealants Inc. (Norton, OH) has announced it will unveil a new low-pressure, two-component spray polyurethane foam for commercial roofs at the Polyurethane Technical Conference, set for Sept. 26 in Baltimore.
The Handi-Foam High Density Spray Polyurethane Foam is billed as the first spray foam kit on the market to feature Honeywell’s Solstice glass blowing agent technology. It is also formulated to meet commercial roofing codes for compressive strength, the company says.
ICP says the product is the first offering released under a new environmental initiative; the foam is developed with a lower global warming potential.
The SPF is designed to retain the insulation value of the SPF roof and maintain the roof’s seamless seal, ICP noted.
The product is recommended for applications where higher compressive strengths are required, including sealing around faulty flashings, vents or equipment, repairing cracks, and sealing pin holes in polyurethane roofs.
ICP Adhesives & Sealants was formerly known as Fomo Products Inc.
