Webinar Covers Coatings and Brand Image

Aesthetics and brand will be the topic of a free Durability + Design webinar on Wednesday (August 10).

Chrissy Stewart, senior chemist with KTA-Tator, will present “The Relationship Between Aesthetics and Brand Image, and the Coatings to Achieve It,” which will cover how coatings play into brand impression, and the challenges that coatings in commercial environments can pose. She will discuss types of finish coats for aggressive environments, and how to both select and maintain coatings.

About the Presenter

Stewart has more than a decade of experience with KTA-Tator, working with coating failure investigation and comparative coating testing services. She is an SSPC Protective Coating Specialist, a member of ASTM, and past president of the Pittsburgh Society for Coatings Technology. She was featured in the Journal of Protective Coatings and Linings’ 2015 “Coatings Professionals: The Next Generation” special edition.

Webinar Details

Webinar participants will learn about: the typical finish coats used on commercial buildings; instrumentation use to assess color and gloss in the field; challenges to color and gloss retention in aggressive environments; and issues associated with coating appearance on commercial buildings and its effect on brand image.

This webinar qualifies participants for one AIA Learning Unit.
