Halox Expands Corrosion Inhibitor Line

A corrosion inhibitor that can be used in architectural and industrial coatings as well as concrete admixtures is now available in liquid form.

Halox 570 LS, from ICL/ Advanced Additives (Hammond, IN), is a new liquid form of Halox 570, a powder corrosion inhibitor. The new form of the additive is designed to fight flash rust and galvanic corrosion, according to ICL.

Halox 570 LS is designed to fight flash rust and galvanic corrosion.

The manufacturer calls Halox 570 LS “environmentally friendly,” in addition to being nitrite-, phosphate- and heavy metal-free. It can be used in industrial or architectural coatings, and is recommended for water-based epoxy, acrylic or alkyd formulations, or concrete admixtures.

Halox 570 LS is a standalone corrosion inhibitor, and is post-addable under agitation, according to ICL.
