Air Barrier Group Taps New Leader

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 15, 2016


A building science expert with 20 years of experience in construction has been named president of the Air Barrier Association of America.

Russ Snow, LEED AP, has experience in building envelope, concrete restoration and products used in the treatment of concrete. Elected in May, he will serve a three-year term as the association's president, his employer announced June 10.

Russ Snow will serve a three-year term as the president of the Air Barrier Association of America.

Snow serves as the building science specialist for W.R. Meadows Inc., based in Hampshire, IL. He develops specifications and provides technical support on building enclosure and related products, the company relates.

Snow completed the Building Science Program at the University of Toronto and has most recently attained the Building Science Specialist of Ontario designation.

He is a member of the ASTM E06, ASTM D08 and American Concrete Institute committees. Snow has also been involved with Construction Specifications Canada, playing a role in the CSC Educational Maintenance Task Team, as well as serving as the chair of the Technical Representative Course Committee.
