The two liquid-applied barriers have both been reformulated, Prosoco says, so that they’re easier to roll on than in the past.

R-Guard Cat 5 and R-Guard Cat 5 Rain Screen, liquid-applied barriers from Prosoco Inc., have both been reformulated, the company says, so that they’re easier to roll on than in the past. Prosoco notes that this will be especially noticeable in low-temperature application situations.

About the Products

R-Guard Cat 5 is described as a one-component air and waterproof barrier that creates a seamless elastomeric weatherproofing membrane. R-Guard Cat 5 Rain Screen is an air and water-resistive barrier, for use in the construction of rain screens.

Both products are solvent-free, isocyanate-free and phthalate-free, and are touted as capable of standing up to the heavy rains and 155 mph winds of a Category 5 hurricane.
