Liquid Flashing Line Gets Expansion

TUESDAY, MAY 10, 2016

Prosoco (Lawrence, KS) has released a new roller-grade version of its R-Guard FastFlash fluid-applied flashing membrane.

FastFlash is a waterproofing, adhesive and detailing compound that combines "the best characteristics of silicone and polyurethane," according to product literature. The single-component, Silyl-Terminated Poly-Ether (STPE) produces a durable, seamless, elastomeric flashing membrane, the company says.

Formulated with all of the same characteristics as the original, gun-grade version, the new product features additional proprietary properties for roller-grade applications, the company says.

The roller-grade FastFlash will be available in 2-gallon pails, while the standard gun-grade FastFlash will continue to be sold in sausages and cartridges. The company notes that no changes have been made to the original formula.
