New Acrylic Boasts Stain Resistance
Stain-blocking properties are key in the new Glidden Complete interior two-in-one paint and primer, according to manufacturer PPG.
The release of Glidden Complete was announced earlier this month; the paint, touted by PPG for its durability and washability, is being marketed to consumers exclusively through retail giant Wal-Mart.
The 100 percent acrylic interior paint is available in flat, satin and eggshell finishes. PPG says the new paint has “exceptional” hiding properties, is highly scrubbable, and comes with a lifetime warranty.
PPG also says the formulation is low-odor and low-VOC.
Aimed at the DIYer
The new line is being marketed primarily to do-it-yourselfers, as a long-lasting but affordable interior paint. PPG says the starting price for the new line is $27.64 per gallon.
“Glidden Complete interior paint provides excellent stain-fighting power for projects that require great coverage in any room of your house,” said Mark Lancia, senior brand manager for Glidden.
The introduction of Glidden Complete as an exclusive Wal-Mart product is a continuation of Glidden’s ongoing partnership with the discount store. Glidden also has a retail partnership with Home Depot, and its products are available at other retailers.
Glidden, founded in Cleveland, OH, in 1875, became a subsidiary of PPG in 2013 when the Pittsburgh-based coatings company bought the brand from AkzoNobel.
