Soprema Acquires Sealants Maker

Global roofing, waterproofing, wall protection and civil engineering product maker SOPREMA has announced the acquisition of Chem Link.

Founded in 1990 and based in Schoolcraft, MI, Chem Link manufactures high-performance, environmentally friendly adhesives, sealants and coatings through its three business units: Construction & Maintenance, Private Label and Industrial/OEM.

Terms of the transaction, announced Monday (April 11), were not disclosed.

Chem Link will operate as a subsidiary of Wadsworth, OH-based SOPREMA, according to the announcement, accelerating technology, products and innovation for both existing and new markets, the company says.
