New Heat-Resistive Pipe, Tank Lining
Denso USA (Houston, TX) has announced its new internal pipe and tank lining, Archco 453HT. The lining has been designed to protect steel tanks and internal pipes from corrosion and to disperse heat in high temperature conditions, according to the company.
The two-part, epoxy phenolic-novolac system is said to provide corrosion protection against crude oil, seawater, wastewater, fuels, solvents and lubricants, with a service temperature up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit (163 degrees Celsius).
It can also handle the aggressive thermal and chemical environments found in process vessels and piping in the oil and gas market, Denso says.
Additionally, the company claims the lining can handle high temperatures from welding operations, up to 700 degrees Fahrenheit (371 degrees Celsius).
It is available in 88 percent solids or 100 percent solids systems for single-leg airless or plural component spray applications, the company adds.
