Paint Standards Chairman Steps Down
John F. Fletcher, the chairman of the ASTM D01 Committee on Paint and Related Coatings Materials and Applications, has officially stepped down from his post.
The technical support manager for Elcometer Limited exited the position after meeting the standards organization’s constitutional term limits, Elcometer announced in a statement March 7.
Fletcher was chairman of the committee for three successive two-year terms.
He will now serve as the first vice chairman in support of the new chair, Cynthia Gosselin.
Outstanding Service
Fletcher was recognized with an Award of Appreciation at the ASTM D01 meeting in San Antonio, TX, in January. With it, the organization acknowledged his outstanding service as an ASTM Committee Chairman spanning the beginning of 2010 through the end of 2015.

The D01.23 Subcommittee has 31 standards under its jurisdiction.
