In its quest to be the leading polyurethane systems powerhouse in North America, Accella Performance Materials has added Quadrant Urethane Technologies’ spray foam division, Quadrant Spray Foam, to its growing portfolio.

Terms of the acquisition, announced Wednesday (March 9), were not disclosed.

Based in McKinney, TX, Quadrant Spray Foam makes spray foams for insulation. Founded in 1970, Quadrant Urethane Technologies produces epoxy and urethane systems and specialty fluids, focused on coatings, automotive and spray foam insulation markets.

“Quadrant [Spray Foam] will continue to serve its customer base with innovative products and leverage Accella manufacturing and technology capabilities to build on its brand success,” Quadrant’s owner, Robert Jamieson, said in a statement. Jamieson will take on the primary leadership role of Accella’s growing spray foam business unit, according to the companies.

Accella recently acquired Premium Spray Products, of Marietta, GA and Regina, Saskatchewan; Burtin Polymers Labs, of Cartersville, GA; and Coating and Foam Solutions of Hartland, WI.

Accella is a manufacturer of polyurethane coatings, binders, elastomers, foams both rigid and flexible, and polyurea sprays, as well as recycled rubber products. The company is backed by Arsenal Capital Partners.
