Zinc Firm Expands Distribution
Houston-based zinc oxide manufacturer U.S. Zinc announced it is expanding its relationship with Unipex Solutions Canada, an Azelis Americas company (formerly KODA Distribution Group).
As of Feb. 18, Azelis Americas, a distribution company with customers in the specialty chemicals industry, will represent U.S. Zinc for zinc oxide and zinc dust across all of Canada, the company said in its Thursday (Feb. 18) statement.
The move is expected to help the company better serve its clients, according to U.S. Zinc President Tracy Baugh.
A Continuing Partnership
“Azelis Americas is our distribution partner of choice in Canada,” Baugh said. “Its experience in the market as well as knowledge of the local customer base is outstanding.”
The announcement comes less than two years after U.S. Zinc named Azelis Americas as its preferred distributor in the United States servicing the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers) market.
Frank Bergonzi, CEO and president of Azelis Americas, said he looks forward to continue representing U.S. Zinc in Canada and building on the success it has seen in the U.S.
“We are very proud of our efforts [in the U.S.] and are excited to do the same in Canada,” Bergonzi said. “We are confident that combining the strength of 70 years of local experience in Canada in the rubber, plastic and the corrosion coatings markets, with the premier global leader in value added zinc products will create lasting value for our clients, and allow us to continue to grow together.”
