Spill Cleanup Debuts for Consumers

SpillFix has recently announced that it has released its consumer brand of SpillFix Organic Absorbent through JEGS catalog and website.

The company said SpillFix is made of 100 percent renewable organic material that absorbs hazardous liquid spills, including oils; fuels; solvents; paints and chemicals. This ensures a safe and efficient working environment quickly with minimal downtime, according to the company.

Prior to its release for residential and commercial uses, the product had been available only to industrial users, the company said. Consumers can use the product for oil spills in the garage; grease spills in the kitchen; disposal of unused paint; and cleaning off messy tools and hands.

Other industry applications, according to the company website, include automotive and automotive recycling; mining; rail; steel; waste management; food; coatings and paint; aviation; marine; fleet management; and oil and gas.

Made from coconut by-product, SpillFix is considered “green” with a small carbon footprint and no trees, mining or excessive transportation are involved in its production, the company said. It has the ability to absorb all types of hazardous and everyday use liquids, it adds, even paint. The product can be reused for greater efficiency.

The company also says SpillFix is free of carcinogens and harmful dusts, and is therefore harmless to humans, animals and the environment.
