Sto Corp. has recently introduced two new accessory products that the company says enhance the quality of wall systems.
The Sto Mesh Corner Bead Standard and Sto Drip Edge Profile are designed to improve the durability and aesthetics of cladding systems, a company spokesman recently said in news release.
The company says it is the first wall systems manufacturer to introduce such accessories in the U.S. market.
According to the company, Sto Mesh Corner Bead Standard provides a solution to create straight corners that are resistant to chipping and cracking in StoTherm ci and StoQuik Silver wall systems. The accessory is made of an angled strip of mesh (90-degree angle) that is reinforced with a plastic rail, which is an alternative to wrapping building corners with mesh reinforcement layers.

The product is compatible with Sto basecoat products and provides strength and protection against everyday knocks, enhancing the long-term durability of the façade, the company says.
Sto Drip Edge Profile is a PVC accessory with integral reinforcing mesh that creates a drip edge and plaster return in Sto’s two wall systems, according to the company.
The product aims to control the direction of dripping water and help protect a building enclosure from moisture intrusion in vulnerable areas, such as fascia returns, balcony undersides and other projecting building elements, Sto said.
The profile also provides additional crack resistance with its integral mesh reinforcement and helps achieve straighter, cleaner lines at plaster returns, according to the company.
