New Acrylic Designed for Durability
PPG has introduced a new paint-and primer-in-one for interior and exterior surfaces.
Part of its Pittsburgh Paints line, the Regency Paint is an acrylic product made for do-it-yourself consumers and professional painters, the company said in a Sept. 3 statement. The company said the product offers good color retention and durability.
The paint is available in three formulations for various covering options, the company said. PPG said each of the three options have low VOCs and low odor.
3 Formulations
Regency Interior helps repel common household stains and is good in high traffic areas, according to the company. The formulation works well on walls, ceilings and trim, and the company says it stands up well to frequent cleanings and scrubbing.
Regency Exterior is geared toward wood, brick, masonry and weathered aluminum or vinyl siding applications. PPG said it is formulated with a specialized urethane technology for strong adhesion to exterior surfaces and is resistant to cracking, peeling and flaking.
The Regency Interior/Exterior formula works well for painting trim, cabinets, banisters, doors and molding, the company said. PPG said the product features higher-volume solids that provide better hiding and coverage than previous formulas while providing a glossy finish that stands up well to scrubbing.
