Polyester Coating for Buildings Debuts

PPG has introduced Duraform BP coating, which the company says is a next-generation polyester coil coating designed for building product manufacturers.

PPG has created a polyester polyform, called Duraform, that is designed for aluminum or hot-dipped galvanized steel building products, the company says.

The product is meant for one-coat application over aluminum or two-coat application over aluminum or hot-dipped galvanized steel, according to the company’s website. Duraform BP is made with the company’s proprietary polyester polymer to enhance forming flexibility and increase resistance to color fading, chalk, dirt and stains, the company says.

The coating is available in multiple colors in high, medium and low glosses, PPG says.
