Sealer Made to Repel Water, Stains, Oils

TUESDAY, AUGUST 4, 2015

A Tennessee concrete coatings company has released a new penetrating solvent-based sealer designed to repel water off the surface of stamped concrete and concrete pavers.

Clemons Concrete Coatings, of Nashville, has made three versions of its Supreme Shield SB, available for different needs of VOC levels, according to a company spokeswoman.

The sealer is made to enhance the existing color of the concrete pavers or stamped concrete without adding a glossy or "plastic look," the company said.

The product is stain- and oil-resistant and helps protect against damage caused by deicing chemicals and freeze-thaw cycles, Clemons Concrete Coatings added.

Available in 1 gallon and 5 gallon containers, Supreme Shield SB can be purchased in a federal-standard VOC level option; a low-VOC level option; and a VOC level option that is approved for use in the State of California, the company said.
