American Polymers Inks Acquisition
Global coatings maker American Polymers Corp. is expanding its footprint in the floor coatings industry with the acquisition of Illinois-based Crown Polymers LLC.
Polycoat Products, a division of American Polymers, announced the acquisition July 22.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Increasing Flooring Foothold
Based in Huntley, IL, Crown Polymers LLC is a privately held floor coatings company offering a range of high-performance epoxy resin flooring systems and concrete restoration systems to applicators, contractors and end users under the “Crown” brand name.
Crown Polymers produces products and systems for commercial, industrial, food processing, manufacturing, hospitality, pharmaceutical, aerospace, retail and residential applications.
“Crown Polymers has a strong reputation for providing excellent product quality, technology, training, and customer support,” said Ashish Dhuldhoya, executive vice president of American Polymers.
Crown Polymers’ Midwest location will enable American Polymers to better serve its East Coast customers, distributors and private label partners, according to the announcement.
The newly re-organized entity, Crown Polymers Corp., will operate autonomously as an independent business unit of American Polymers, under new management, the announcement noted.
