New Mortar Repairs Failing Concrete

HAMPSHIRE, IL--A new single-component polymer-modified mortar has been developed to help renovate and repair concrete surfaces.

Spectrum Re-Kote TF, manufactured by W.R. Meadows Inc., is a rapid-hardening cementitious product designed for a variety of concrete-repair needs. The product can smooth rough surfaces, repair honeycombs and clean up bug holes, the company says.

The mortar also can be used as a coating for swimming pools, concrete walls and balconies.

The mortar is suitable for interior and exterior use. The company touts the product's bond, breathability and ability to withstand freeze-thaw cycles.

Spectrum Re-Kote TF has a light gray finish that can be stained, dyed or pigmented, according to W.R. Meadows.
