Valspar Tackles Graffiti with New System
Valspar has teamed up with Portland, OR-based Graffiti Removal Services Inc. to offer a sustainable, cost-effective, ASTM-compliant graffiti resistance and removal system.
The system has been tested and approved for use on all Valspar’s Coil and Extrusion building products, the Minneapolis-based coating company reports.
Cleaning Component
The system features Graffiti Removal Services’ water-soluble, biodegradable cleaning products.
With a brush-on, wipe-off application, the non-toxic product can “quickly and effectively remove graffiti” without damaging the underlying coatings, Valspar reports.
“As incidences of graffiti continue to rise across the country, municipalities are adopting policies that require rapid graffiti removal—the Valspar Graffiti Resistant system will allow our customers to meet those requirements with the products they already know and trust,” says Jeff Alexander, VP of Sales for Valspar.
Further, the system can save building owners significant costs associated with repainting or replacing building panels, Alexander added.
