New Coating Touts Icing Prevention

FRIDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2014

A new nanocomposite coating that imparts anti-icing properties to the underlying substrate is the latest offering from NEI Corporation.

Nanomyte SuperAi is a single-component, transparent coating that provides a hard, dense and smooth finish, the company says.

Coated surfaces reduce ice adhesion, preventing ice buildup, according to the company. The coating also provides durability and corrosion protection, NEI says.
