New Kit to Seam Metal Roofs
Developmental Industries Inc. has introduced a roof seamer tooling kit designed to fit most types of metal roofing panels.
The new Universal Kit features the manufacturer’s Contractor Series Roof Seamer, a machine first launched in February 2010, equipped with new tooling conversions for 1-, 1.5-, and 2-inch roof panels that can be formed in 90- or 180-degree seamed profiles.
A bi-direction option is also available when seaming 90-degree roofing profiles, according to the company.

The Roof Seamer is self-propelled with hands-free operation, the company reports. The machine also features a durable 9 amp/115 volt/60 cycle electric motor and has a quick-disconnect plug for added safety. In addition, the seamer has an onboard hour meter to track usage and maintenance.
The Universal Kit is available for $5,000 via the company’s website.
Developmental Industries offers a six-month limited warranty for the product.
