RPM Acquires Krud Kutter

RPM International’s Rust-Oleum Group has acquired environmentally friendly cleaner company Krud Kutter Inc., the company reports.

RPM announced Monday (July 7) that it had acquired the Cumming, GA-based company for an undisclosed amount.

"Krud Kutter will allow Rust-Oleum to expand its current presence in specialty cleaners,” Frank C. Sullivan, RPM chairman and CEO, said in a press release.

"The Krud Kutter brand is expected to benefit from Rust-Oleum's marketing and category management expertise to further penetrate what is currently a fragmented market category. Krud Kutter President Ed Rice will continue to lead the business, and we are pleased to welcome him to the RPM family."

Krud Kutter produces cleaners and removers for residential, commercial and industrial environments. Its cleaners and removers are water-based, biodegradable, non-toxic and VOC compliant. The company generates $13 million in annual sales.

RPM International Inc’s industrial brands include Stonhard, Tremco, illbruck, Carboline, Flowcrete, Universal Sealants, Viapol and Euco. On the consumer side they own Zinsser, Rust-Oleum, DAP, Varathane and Testors.
