Transit Coatings Protect Exposed Metal

TUESDAY, JULY 8, 2014

A new series of transit coatings has been designed to protect exposed metals that are stored and shipped outdoors, manufacturer Daubert Cromwell announced.

The Nox-Rust 3100 Series liquids protect metal and most painted surfaces during domestic and international shipment, the company says.

According to Daubert Cromwell, the products can prevent damage from sea water, acid rain, insects, bird droppings, smoke, pollution, dirt and debris.

Three Options

The Transit Coatings line includes three products:

  • Nox-Rust 3100 can protect metals stored outside for five or more years and protects equipment and machinery during domestic and overseas shipments.

  • Nox-Rust 3100G has a thicker consistency to cling to vertical surfaces and adheres to metal for an even layer on large, heavy, or hard-to-reach metal parts. It can be applied by spray or brush.

  • Nox-Rust 3400 is a wax-based, amber color, low VOC film for five or more years of outdoor protection. The solvent-based liquid can be applied by spray, brush, or dip methods.
