Durability + Design magazine has issued a call for presentation paper titles and abstracts for its D+D 2015 Conference and Exhibition, scheduled for June 8-10, 2015, at the historic Eden Roc Miami Beach Resort and Spa in Miami, FL.

Carrying the theme “Building Smarter,” the second annual conference will provide a multi-track forum for professionals in the technical building community.

Organizers are also seeking input on next year's conference from prospective attendees, exhibitors and presenters via a brief, five-question online survey.

Sustainable Topics Invited

For next year's conference, organizers are seeking papers focused on sustainable technologies and materials that contribute to building performance and aesthetics.

Examples of technologies that may be considered include:

  • Air barriers;
  • Reflective roof coatings;
  • Sealers;
  • Coatings;
  • Polished concrete finishes; and
  • Fire-resistive materials

Titles and 150-250 word abstracts must be submitted to Harold Hower or Gina Johnson by Aug. 15.

About D+D 2015

Specifiers, architects, contractors, facility owners and other building professionals with an interest in achieving excellence in the use of surface technologies are invited to attend D+D 2015.

The conference will be held at the Eden Roc oceanfront hotel, which was designed by famed architect Morris Lapidus. The hotel is one of many that came to define the 1950s resort-hotel style synonymous with Miami and Miami Beach.

In addition to presentations from the nation's building experts, several technical societies and industry associations are expected to develop and lead their own sessions at the event.

Online registration is now available here for D+D 2015.

Durability + Design magazine is published by Technology Publishing Company, which also publishes D+D News.
