THURSDAY, APRIL 24, 2014

Shurtape Technologies LLC has introduced a temporary flooring tape engineered to perform with water-based finishes on wood substrates in residential and commercial settings.

FloorMate temporary flooring tape is a durable, low-adhesion tape that will not damage the wood finish, according to the Hickory, NC, manufacturer.

The paper tape will not tear or splinter and can be cleanly removed for up to 30 days, Shurtape adds.

Various Uses

The tape is recommended for temporary use on water-based coated and properly prepared and cured wood floors. It may also be used on other hard flooring surfaces, including sheet vinyl, wood laminates, engineered hardwood, tile, marble, and granite, the company says.

FloorMate can also be used for paint masking, according to Shurtape.

The product is available nationwide at Sherwin-Williams stores for $9.39 per 50-yard roll.
