Webinar Focuses on Resinous Flooring

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 23, 2014

The various types of resinous flooring systems and their specific uses will be the focus of a free upcoming educational webinar hosted by Durability + Design.

Resinous Floor Coatings: Specifications and Use,” a D+D Education Series webinar, will be presented at 11 a.m. ET April 30.

Resinous Flooring Basics

“Resinous flooring” can refer to a broad range of coating chemistries and uses. The systems can be seamless, durable and decorative.

Many floor coatings are commonly (but mistakenly) referred to as epoxies, even though the category also includes urethanes, polyaspartics, MMAs and other systems.

This webinar will provide participants with a basic understanding of the different types of resinous flooring systems as well as the correct areas and uses for specifying those systems.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Advantages of resinous flooring;
  • Chemistries used in resinous flooring;
  • Typical flooring systems and their uses, including historical examples; and
  • Basic installation parameters.

Participants may register here for free.

Presenter

The presenter will be Phil Scisiani, owner of Specialty Coatings & Consulting Inc.

For 32 years, Scisiani has worked hands-on as an applicator and has advised and worked with material manufacturers to develop coating systems and application procedures.

He started Specialty Coatings & Consulting Inc. in 1985, to address maintenance coating needs in the industrial, commercial and residential industries.

This webinar is sponsored by Coatings For Industry.

D+D hosts a variety of webinars on topics related to architectural coatings and building materials. The Education Series focuses on a technical topic; the Product Profile Series features manufacturer-led discussions of a product.
