Deco Flooring Designed for Tough Wear

Floor protection and restoration provider Thermal-Chem Corp. has rolled out a new decorative system designed to be LEED-friendly and traffic-tough.

DecoEssence is a three-coat polymer flooring system that uses a metallic pigment to produce a three-dimensional appearance with depth and vibrancy.

Engineered for interior applications, DecoEssence is designed to provide superior wear surface protection in a range of colors, the manufacturer reports.

The LEED-compliant system is suitable for residential and commercial applications, including restaurants, food stores, showrooms, galleries, entertainment venues, offices and hotel lobbies, or wherever standard epoxy color coatings, stained concrete or vinyl tile is installed.

Other Features

According to Thermal-Chem, DecoEssence:

  • Offers excellent substrate adhesion and durable wear surface protection;
  • Provides a more homogeneous colored appearance than stained concrete;
  • Can be applied over new or old concrete, wood or cementitious toppings;
  • Hides substrate imperfections;
  • Provides seamless, sanitary chemical and stain resistance;
  • Requires no waxing or buffing; and
  • Offers a slip-resistant surface texture with a clear topcoat.
