Sprayers Boast a Fine Finish

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2014

Graco Inc. has introduced a new set of portable, self-contained, lower-pressure airless sprayers designed to reduce overspray and improve control.

The FinishPro II Air-Assisted Airless Sprayers spray at 500 to 1500 psi, compared to 1500 to 3000 psi, according to Graco.

New Technology

The units feature SmartComp technology, which supplies air on demand when the trigger is pulled, according to Kris Hanson, Global Product Marketing Manager for Graco’s Contractor Equipment Division.

The technology shuts off the compressor when the unit is not spraying, reducing noise and user fatigue.

The sprayers are recommended for applying topcoats to wood furniture and fabricated metal parts. A Super Flex hose set allows for easy on-site finishing, said Hanson.

Additional Features

Other features include:

  • High-output on-board air compressor, for on-site finish jobs;
  • Flat tip conversion kit, for high performance with low-viscosity, light-bodied materials; and
  • A switch to change instantly from air-assisted airless spraying for fine finishing to true airless spraying for priming and painting.
