Waterproofing products supplier AVM Industries has rolled out a two-part liquid-applied roof membrane for horizontal and vertical waterproofing.

The company calls Sky Roof Coating 880 "one of the most reflective coatings" on the market.

The water-based, 100 percent polyurethane membrane can be applied to new roofs or over existing built-up or single-ply roof membranes, the company announced in a product release.

Sky Roof Coating 880 bonds to and protects a variety of substrates, including concrete, SPF, PVC aluminum, stainless steel, galvanized steel, copper and wood.

Application, Features

The VOC-free reflective roof coating is designed to be applied with roller, brush, squeegee or airless sprayer.

The product can be applied to new roofs or over existing roof membranes.

It can be applied as a sealer coat, single-membrane or double-membrane system and is ready in most situations for light foot traffic within four to six hours, AVM adds.

AVM also says the coating withstands ponding and pooling water.

Based in Canoga Park, CA, AVM Industries manufactures deck coatings, sealers, patching components, cement additives, leveling products, under tile and below-grade waterproofing membranes and other multipurpose coatings.
