Webinar Tackles Polyaspartic Protection
Polyaspartic coatings, a relatively new class of coatings, and their successful use in protective and marine applications will be the focus of a free upcoming webinar by SSPC and JPCL.
"Polyaspartic Coatings for High-Profile Protective and Marine Applications for Steel and Concrete," to be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. ET Dec. 18 (7:30 to 8:30 p.m. CET), will discuss situations where polyaspartic coatings offer advantages over other coating technologies.
The webinar will cover:
(A companion webinar, "Polyaspartic Coatings for High-Profile Commercial and Architectural Applications," will be held from 11 a.m. to noon ET on the same day.)
About the Presenter
Webinar presenter Michael Jeffries is the Field Technical Service Manager in the Coatings, Adhesives and Specialties Division of Bayer MaterialScience, where he started his career in 1989.
Throughout his career, he worked on the scale-up of various polyisocyanates, polyisocyanate prepolymers, polyaspartics and polyurethane dispersions into production. In 1998, he specifically began working on the development of new isocyanate resins for the coatings industry
Jeffries has been awarded eight patents, with an additional four applications pending. He holds a BS from the University of Pittsburgh.
The webinar will be sponsored by Bayer MaterialScience.
Registration, CEU Credits
This webinar is part of the JPCL/SSPC Webinar Education Series, which provides continuing education for SSPC recertifications and technology updates on important topics.
SSPC is an accredited training provider for the Florida Board of Professional Engineers (FBPE), and Professional Engineers in Florida may submit SSPC Webinar Continuing Education Units to the board. To do so, applicants must download the FBPE CEU form and pass the Webinar Exam, which costs $25.
