PureColor Expands Wood Stain Line

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2013

PureColor Inc., a manufacturer of sustainable wood finishes, has rolled out its newest collection of wood stains.

The EvenGrain Collection is the first wood stain developed exclusively for door and millwork manufacturers, according to PureColor, based in Albuquerque, NM.

The collection consists of three products:

  • EvenGrain Woods, which "highlights the natural wood character and complexion in solid and veneered products";
  • EvenGrain HDF, which "delivers contrast on textured surfaces to simulate an authentic wood appearance and unique elements on smooth surfaces to create a Venetian Plaster-like appearance"; and
  • EvenGrain MDF, which "creates complimentary moldings and casings" for EvenGrain-finished doors.

“The EvenGrain Collection is important for door and millwork manufacturers, because it produces beautiful results on any substrate, lowers production costs, and creates new market possibilities for these producers,” said company president Scott Caruso.

The zero-VOC, no-wipe EvenGrain Collection ships and stores dry in PureColor’s “Stain in a Box” packaging and may be applied with either manual or automated equipment.

PureColor Inc. produces sustainable wood finishes for the OEM and architectural coatings market.
