Behr, Mars Team Up for Bubblegum Pink Paint

Behr Paint Company and Hubba Bubba made by Mars have partnered to introduce a pink hue that is reminiscent of the well-known bubblegum for the Canadian market.
Hubba Bubba Pink by Behr is described as a playful hue that radiates warm whimsical energy, inspiring endless pops of fun, creativity and design possibilities.
“Hubba Bubba is committed to creating a world of fun where everyone is encouraged to embrace joy and play, and this partnership with Behr is an extension of that commitment,” said Patrick Zeng, Marketing Director, Mars Wrigley Canada.
“Through this collaboration, we're inspiring Canadians to incorporate pink and playfulness into their homes, while reminding them of the nostalgic fun of Hubba Bubba.”
According to Behr, the pink pairing embraces the “Dopamine Décor” design movement, where color is used to enhance mood and create happy spaces.
The whimsical shade, which is reminiscent of the famous bubblegum, is designed to add a burst of fun in any room.

“We know color plays a powerful role in people's everyday environments—especially a home,” said Erika Woelfel, VP of Color and Creative Services at Behr Paint Company.
“Hubba Bubba Pink by Behr is the perfect playful hue for creating statement walls, transforming décor pieces, or adding a cheerful touch to doors and trim.”
To celebrate the launch, Hubba Bubba and Behr are partnering with Visual Artist Briony Douglas, showcasing the importance of creativity in everyday life. The artist can be followed on Instagram to get inspired.
Additionally, users are encouraged to share Hubba Bubba-inspired DIY projects on social with #HubbaBubbaPink and by tagging @behrpaint.
As of Tuesday (March 26), the color is available in Behr Dynasty, Behr Marquee, Behr Ultra and Behr Premium Plus paint formulas. It is also available exclusively at The Home Depot Canada stores nationwide.

Behr Color of the Year
On the completely opposite end of the color spectrum, Behr’s 2024 Color of the Year, Cracked Pepper (PPU18-01) was selected in August of last year. The 2024 COTY is also included in the expert-curated Behr Designer Collection of 30 neutral colors.

According to the press release at the time, new research conducted by the company reveals:
- More than half of Americans (54%) say black tones in the home create a new energy and vibe;
- Two-thirds (64%) of Americans agree that black tones in the home make a space feel bold;
- More than half (57%) of Americans say that painting a wall a dark(er) color gives the room a designer aesthetic;
- Three-quarters (74%) of Americans would consider painting an area or room a dark color;
- Half (50%) of Americans say a dark color on the wall(s) makes a room feel elevated;
- More than half of Millennials (61%) agree black tones instantly give the home a fresh look; and
- Half (50%) of Americans say a dark color on the wall(s) creates a sense of comfort in the home.
The company goes on to describe that Cracked Pepper elevates design styles from modern, classic, casual, retro and more, while pairing seamlessly with other colors, finishes, patterns and textures. The hue can be incorporated into projects to make a bold statement or add an accent.
