Fall-protection provider Rigid Lifelines has introduced a line of temporary and permanent rooftop fall protection systems designed for easy installation and compatibility with almost any rooftop material, the company said.

The XSPlatforms fall arrest and fall restraint systems accomodate a range of locations, roof types, and user knowledge, the manufacturer reports.

The company and its distributors also provide training, fall hazard assessments, system quotes, and information about inspections and installations.

Patented top-mounted anchorage points mean only one hole needs to be drilled for each anchor location.

Easy Install

"Rooftop falls are one of the biggest hazards facing industrial and construction workers," said John Kemp, Rigid Lifelines' national product and sales manager. "We are very pleased and excited to offer our customers the most minimally invasive and user-friendly fall protection system for people accessing rooftops to perform tasks."

XSPlatforms is compatible with almost any type of rooftop material and is efficient and less invasive than many systems to install, the company said.

Patented top-mounted anchorage points mean only one hole needs to be drilled for each anchorage location, and a single anchor can cover long distances.

According to Rigid Lifelines, XS Platforms are made to measure, comply with all relevant fall protection legislation and regulations, and are ergonomic and durable.

Rigid Lifelines' XSPlatforms systems are compatible with almost any rooftop material.

XSPlatforms fall arrest and fall restraint system meet all international fall protection standards, including:

  • ANSI/ASSE Z359.1 2007;
  • OSHA 1910.66, 1926.502; and
  • CAN/CSA Z259.
