Industrial cleaning contractors have a new compact option for waterblasting from Jetstream.

The company has introduced the IX100 Series waterblasting system, featuring an external gear drive, comprehensive shutdown systems, a high-performance 93kW Tier 3 engine, high-capacity fuel tank and sealed control panel.

Jetstream's new waterblasting system offers a compact design and can operate at up to 40,000 psi, the company said.

"The IX100 Series waterblasting system culminates extensive customer research, design and engineering improvements," said Richard Scruggs, product manager at Jetstream.

"As part of our commitment to provide solutions ... Jetstream consulted with waterblast operators, industrial cleaning contractors and other industry professionals around the world to develop a range of performance and maintenance features to serve the needs of the industrial cleaning market," said Scruggs.

Fluid System, Safety Features

Jetstream UNx pumps enable cleaning contractors to perform quick and efficient pump maintenance in the field, according to the company.

The system is built on a heavy-duty, compact frame and features the UNx fluid system designed for fast conversion between 550 bar (8,000 psi) and 2750 bar (40,000 psi) operating pressures.

Additional fluid ends can be installed within minutes, allowing the IX100 Series system to cover a full range of operating pressures.

To protect against low oil pressure, high temperature, and other damage, the shutdown system includes low-supply water pressure, dirty water filter, engine fault, manual emergency stop and manual override.

Compact & Durable

"The IX100 Series is easier to fit on truck and trailers, and can be mounted inside enclosures," said Scruggs. "The compact, mobile design allows the system to fit more economically into shipping containers, making it much easier and more efficient to ship from our Houston facility."

According to the company, the heavy-duty compact frame is hot-dip galvanized to protect against corrosion in harsh environments and conditions.

The frame also features a sturdy, eight-inch channel. All moving parts on the system are fully guarded, and dual-rupture disc assemblies prevent extreme over pressurization during operation.

Optional features include an air compressor, extended-run fuel tank, inlet regulator, insulated exhaust system, bench vise, remote e-stop, lube water recirculation pump and system pressure sensor and over-pressure shutdown.
