Although Technology Publishing Co. has wrapped up PaintSquare Connect, its signature virtual event for the protective and commercial coatings industries, an archived library of its featured webinars remains available to registrants until May 31.

In their webinar, the duo noted on the upcoming changes to NSF Std. 61 and the importance of clean, safe drinking water. In preparing for the important requirement changes for potable water coatings, some local municipalities and health departments have further lowered extractable allowances to levels that can be very difficult to achieve.

Specifically, Tnemec is participating in projects across the country that meet these strict requirements by educating decision makers and helping avoid contentious situations that can arise after a potable water lining is installed. In the webinar, Thomas and Brown further describe the ways in which interior coatings are being affected by new extractables testing and discuss new methods of analysis and how they will impact installers of certified lining materials. The presentation also covers several case studies and discusses how Tnemec is able to support projects, beginning with coating selection and ending with an accepted lining installation.
