The Sherwin-Williams Company recently introduced a new primer formulated for interior and exterior “hard-to-stick” surfaces.
Extreme Bond Interior/Exterior Primer is a waterborne urethane modified acrylic that was designed for coating hard, slick, glossy surfaces with minimal surface preparation.
The company calls the product ideal for surfaces such as kitchen cabinets, tile, glass panels and plastic piping.
“Certain residential and commercial surfaces are time-consuming to paint and require specific performance attributes, which can impact professionals’ valuable resources,” said Rick Watson, Director of Product Information and Technical Services at Sherwin-Williams.
“The next generation Extreme Bond Primer solves this issue by securely bonding to these tricky surfaces, ensuring a smooth, high-quality finish while offering improved scratch resistance, water sensitivity and hide of the primer.”
Features touted of the primer include strong adhesion, wear-and-tear resistance, time-saving ability for the applicator, variety of uses, ease of application and its compatibility with other coatings.
The primer is now available nationwide.
