The American Concrete Institute’s Foundation recently announced that applications are now being accepted from graduate and undergraduate students for its 2020-21 fellowships and scholarships.

ACI Foundation fellowships are typically offered to students studying at accredited American or Canadian institutions. This year, however, ACI has debuted its ACI Middle East Fellowship, which is specifically for students studying in Bahrain, Kuqait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Students must obtain two endorsements, with one being from an ACI member. Fellowships provide:

  • An educational stipend of $10,000 or $15,000;
  • Airfare, hotel, travel stipend and registration to attend three ACI conventions;
  • Assignment to an industry mentor;
  • An internship, if required; and
  • Recognition at ACI Conventions, in Concrete International and on ACI Foundation’s website.

ACI Foundation scholarships are offered to graduate and undergraduate students across the globe. Each ACI Foundation scholarship includes:

  • An educational stipend of $5,000 USD; and
  • Recognition in Concrete International and on ACI Foundation’s website.

Last year, the ACI Foundation distributed more than $200,000 to 19 students.

The deadline for applications is Nov. 1.
