Plaster surfaces will require scraping to remove plaster and other projections before sanding for a smooth finish to match adjoining surface textures. Interior plaster on all surfaces will be coated with a three-coat system including an acrylic high-hiding all-purpose primer and two coats of acrylic latex interior paint.

Ferrous metal surfaces will require cleaning to Power Tool Cleaning standards (SSPC-SP 3) and shop painting with one coat of a ferrous metal primer. Ferrous metal exposed to the weather will require hot-dip galvanizing. Galvanized surfaces in need of touch-up repair will require a coating of a VOC-compliant system. All non-galvanized miscellaneous metal items will require shop priming with a quick-dry alkyd shop coating. Bare metal surfaces will require Commercial Blast Cleaning (SSPC-SP 6) and will receive a high-performance coating application.

Work will include architectural decorated stained glass repair and restoration. At cast-iron frames and stops, the contractor should abrasive blast-clean with a fine sand to Near White standards (SSPC-SP 10) and provide a baked epoxy-polyamide primer and high-build acrylic polyurethane enamel finish paint for exterior surfaces.

The owner-approved manufacturers are: Benjamin Moore, AkzoNobel, Sherwin-Williams, Tnemec, ICI Devoe, International Coatings, ZRC Worldwide, Duncan Galvanizing or approved equals.
