Storm Water Solutions Call for Abstracts

Recently, Storm Water Solutions put out a call for abstracts for its SWS Conference & Exhibition 2019.

The conference is slated to take place Nov. 12-14, at the Tinley Park Convention Center in Tinley Park, Illinois.

The call invites experts from storm water-related organizations and disciplines to submit either an abstract to present at the conference and/or a poster for display. Demonstration sessions using storm water tools and/or applications are also encouraged.

Suggested abstract topics include:

  • Monitoring, Inspection, and Maintenance;
  • Modeling and Research;
  • Storm Water Practices and BMPs Planning and Design;
  • Agriculture and Storm Water Management;
  • Stream and Wetlands Restoration;
  • Storm Water Retrofits;
  • Green Infrastructure;
  • Industrial Storm Management;
  • MS4 Program Management;
  • Watershed Planning;
  • CSO/SSO/I&I;
  • Erosion Control;
  • Legal Issues in Storm Water and Watershed Management;
  • Managing Storm Water in Transportation Projects;
  • Agency Program Updates; and
  • Communications/PR in the Storm Water Sector.

Other absrtact topics include Monitoring, Modeling and Reasearch, which will focus on the latest in storm water mangement field advances; Storm Water Practice Planning and Design, which will focus on addressing successfull storm water practices and their design; Storm Water and MS4 Program Management, which will address program incentives and tools used in the six minimum control measures in storm water management; and Watershed Planning, Implementation and Restoration, which is to address watershed planning, restortion and various protection actions.

Abstracts submitted should include a presentation, poster or both. Only one topic may be selected and must qualify as either a Basic, Intermediate or Advanced technical level. Length of the presentation, prior to questions, is permitted to run 20 or 50 minutes.

In addition, a 150-word-or-less description of the presentation, target audience choice, primary learning objectives, a conclusion or analysis and a 65-word-or-less speaker biography must also be submitted.
