  • Cathodic Protection Retrofit for Rehabilitation of Aging Reinforced Concrete Municipal Water Infrastructure: A Case Study;
  • Investigation of Anti-Corrosion and Adhesion Properties of Epoxy Coatings Containing Surface Modified Fe2O3 Nano Particles on Mild Steel;

Forum presentations will tackle more in-the-trenches topics such as leadership, how other countries are fighting corrosion and the return of the popular Corrosive Chronicles Theater, which features presentations by both industry professionals and NACE staff.

  • “Bridging the Gap with Effective Leadership,” to be held 8-11:30 a.m. on Monday, will examine how effective leadership can help remedy the ongoing issue of bridging the gap of technical knowledge and experience, while also examining leadership lifecycles.
  • In “Battling Corrosion in Latin America,” to be held 1-3 p.m. on Tuesday, presenters will examine how industrial development in Latin America has largely been driven by the oil and gas industry, the subsequent corrosion challenges that arose and what steps are being taken to remedy this issue in its different forms.
  • In “Understanding and Mitigating AC Interference for Co-Located Pipelines,” one of the installments of the Corrosive Chronicles, to be held 1:30-4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, will examine how to recognize alternating current in pipelines and what owner regulatory responsibilities are. AC damage, personnel safety and AC interference mitigation will also be discussed.

Those looking to network will have many opportunities to do so: Saturday (March 23), the Corrosion Crew Social Brew will offer both the flavors of Nashville and the chance for attendees to ride a mechanical bull, the Darrel D. Byerley Memorial Golf Tournament will be held at 8 a.m. on Sunday and an effective leadership luncheon will be held Monday afternoon.

Those interested in registering can do so here.
