The American Institute of Architects announced last week that it’s partnering with digital learning company BenchPrep to revamp its Architect Registration Exam prep courses and accelerate the process for graduates to qualify for licenses.

Through BenchPrep’s online learning platform, the AIA will provide aspiring architects with ARE educational resources in a one-stop shop—termed ArchiPrep—that is comprehensive and easily navigated on a single site, according to the AIA.

The American Institute of Architects announced last week that it’s partnering with digital learning company BenchPrep to revamp its Architect Registration Exam prep courses and accelerate the process for graduates to qualify for licenses.

“We’re excited to offer a new prep program later this year for our members taking ARE exams,” said AIA EVP and Chief Executive Officer Robert Ivy, FAIA.

“BenchPrep’s platform will allow AIA to provide the next generation of architects with an exceptional learning experience. By doing so, we can better prepare aspiring architects to succeed on these high-stakes exams and in their careers, which is critical to the architecture profession and industry.”

BenchPrep aims to help by streamlining content management, instructional design, educator tools, analytics dashboards and reporting into one comprehensive solution. It also provides flexibility for accessing learning materials any time on all devices.

“It is thrilling that [the] AIA has chosen to partner with BenchPrep to deliver its ArchiPrep program,” said BenchPrep CEO Ashish Rangnekar.

“Architects bear a large public responsibility in our society, so helping to ensure that they are properly prepared for their careers is something BenchPrep will take great pride in. We look forward to helping AIA achieve its goals and to making an impact in this burgeoning industry.”

The new program is expected to be launched in April. AIA members who are interested in testing and providing feedback for the prototype are encouraged to email AIA New Business and Product Strategy Managing Director Luke Diorio.
