Bids are due for this project by Jan. 17, 2019.
Scope of Work
The awarded contractor is responsible for the rehabilitation of the French Hall main entrance lobby and stairs. The work will include the replacement of the ceiling, lighting, terrazzo stair treads, glass and stainless-steel railing, repairs to terrazzo flooring and repainting of the space.
When preparing the concrete masonry substrates and gypsum board surfaces for coating, the contractor is to first remove all hardware, covers, plates and similar items that are moveable and are not to be coated. This process will then be followed by a standard cleaning of surfaces to remove all dust, dirt, oil, grease, etc.
Once cleaning has been completed, the contractor will be responsible for coating the concrete masonry units with a latex block filler, an intermediate coat of interior latex and two top coats consisting of a low-luster acrylic enamel and semi-gloss acrylic enamel. Gypsum board surfaces are to be coated with an interior latex primer and two coats of an interior acrylic enamel.
All work for this project is to be completed by June 28, 2019.
Owner-approved brands include Sherwin-Williams, PPG, Benjamin Moore and Kelly-Moore.
