The conference will also feature CPI's Polyurethane Professional Development Program and the Polyurethane Innovation Award, as well as an exhibition hall. Technical sessions will cover innovations for polyurethanes, including subjects such as construction, automotive manufacturing and product sustainability. Individual sessions include:

  • Construction: Beginning with a discussion of the formulation components and techniques to improve the performance of rigid PU and PIR foam, this session will also delve into a discussion of wood binder technology, as well as renewable polyester polyols for use in rigid foam construction applications and the enhancement of PIR foams. Finally, there will be a discussion on the formulation techniques for the improvement of low temperature insulation performance of PIR boards.
  • Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomers: Getting into a discussion about novel aliphatic carbodiimides, this session will also cover information on solid thin film polyurea systems, as well as two-component polyurethane coating systems for automotive and electronic applications. There will also be a presentation on TPU formulations with polypheneylene ether polyols, and a final wrap-up on necessary regulatory changes in the realm of blowing agents and propellants.
  • CASE Renewables: Similar to the previous session, this segment will begin with solid thin film polyurea systems. Also slated are updates on regulatory changes in blowing agents and propellants. There will also be a presentation about spidersilk fibers.
