Coating manufacturer Polyset (Mechanicville, New York) has introduced a polyurea coating suitable for various applications to its flagship Ply-Guard line of protective coatings.
Ply-Guard UR is a two-component, rapid-curing, spray-applied lining system that is 100 percent solids and zero-VOC, the company says.

The product can be directly spray-applied to metal, concrete, wood, fiberglass and geotextiles, and Polyset adds that the system can withstand heavy foot traffic, exhibiting abrasion and impact resistance as well a chemical resistance.
The Ply-Guard UR system products include:

Fast Set, which has a durable, seamless, monolithic waterproof membrane that allows for use in the mining, gas and oil, military and storage tanks industries;

Potable Water, which is a system specifically formulated for potable water applications meeting NSF\ANSI 61, the company says, making it suitable for potable water management, water features and wastewater industries;

Aluminized, which contains UV stabilizers and leafing aluminum pigment, formulated for commercial and industrial roofing applications industries; and

Joint Filler, self-leveling and formulated to protect industrial concrete floor joints from spalling under heavy machinery, and thereby useful in the parking decks industry, the company notes.
