The tool allows the user to calculate coating thickness of wet paint.

The KTA-Tator Certified 4-in-1 Wet Film Thickness Gage, which debuted recently, includes measurements in mils on one side, and microns on the other side, allowing the user to calculate the thickness of a coat of wet paint in both units by inserting the tool into the paint once.

The two ends of the gage measure from 1-20 mils (or 25-508 microns) and from 22-60 mils (or 559-1524 microns). The gage conforms to ASTM D4414, according to the company, and comes with a certificate of conformance.
