400+ Exhibitors Include Coatings Firms

NACE International’s Corrosion 2017 Conference and Expo covers all aspects of corrosion and its prevention and management. A total of 438 exhibitors will be on hand to discuss the corrosion-control industry.

The exhibit hall will open at 5 p.m. Monday (March 27) and will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., then again on the conference’s closing day, Thursday, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Axalta

Axalta Coating Systems will be on hand at Corrosion 2017 to discuss enhancements to its Nap-Gard coatings line for the pipeline industry.

In addition to the exhibit hall, Corrosion 2017 will feature the Product Showcase, a display at the entrance of the show floor where 41 vendors’ newest products will be on display. Products in the Product Showcase display will be accompanied by information about the company and where to locate it on the exhibit floor for more information.

Coatings Industry Represented

Here are just a few of the many coatings-industry companies that will be available to discuss their newest products and services at next week’s event:

Axalta Coating Systems (Booth 1621) will be on hand to discuss recent enhancements to its Nap-Gard coatings for the pipline industry. The new Nap-Gard 7-0017HT and 7-0017VHT Black Beauty FBE products, the company says, are thermosetting epoxy powders designed to fight corrosion caused by carbon dioxide and hydrogen sulfide.

Chlor-Rid international Inc. (Booth 1355) will feature its surface salt test kits, which the company says are designed for accurate and easy detection in the field, and its line of liquids to remove soluble salts and prevent flash rusting.

DeFelsko is featuring its PosiTest LPD, for detecting holidays on metal and concrete substrates.

DeFelsko Corporation (Booth 1637) will have its PosiTector SST Soluble Salt Tester and its PosiTest LPD Low Voltage Pinhole Detector both available for viewing in the Product Showcase. The PosiTector SST tests for soluble salts using the Bresle method; PosiTest LPD is used for detecting holidays on metal and concrete substrates.

Denso North America (Booth 1145) will be displaying its Protal 7125 Repair Cartridge in the Product Showcase. Denso, a supplier of pipeline coatings, sealers, adhesives, primers and other corrosion-prevention and sealing products, recently introduced the Protal 7125 for repairs to damaged FBE coatings and other liquid-applied pipeline coatings.

Fisher Technology (Booth 1150) is featuring its TSA-Probe ESD20-TSA, a new probe to measure TSA coatings on carbon, stainless steel or aluminum. The new TSA-Probe will be on display at the Product Showcase.

International Paint (Booth 1837), a supplier of protective and marine coatings owned by AkzoNobel, plans to showcase Enviroline 2405, a lining for railcar interiors that the company says is ultra-low-VOC and FDA compliant for a wide range of liquid and dry cargos. It will be on display at the Product Showcase.

KTA-Tator Inc. (Booth 1613) will be displaying its KTA Certified 4-in-1 Wet Thickness Gage, which measures both mils and micros. The gage, which measures 1-60 mils or 25-1524 microns, will be on display in the Product Showcase.

Polyset

Polyset is featuring its WB HRZS coating for steel structures.

Polyset Company (Booth 2731) will feature its WB HRZS coating, a 100-percent waterborne, high-ratio zinc silicate single-coat system designed to protect steel structures. Find it in the Product Showcase as well.

PPG Protective & Marine Coatings (Booth 1125) will be available to discuss its portfolio of coatings, like its recently launched Sigmashield MTC system for dry cargo holds.

The Sherwin-Williams Company (Booth 1545) will be on hand to discuss its coatings and linings, including single-coat rapid-cure tank linings, edge-retentive and surface-tolerant coatings, and coatings designed to fight corrusion under insulation.

SSPC: The Society for Protective Coatings (Booth 2002) is the only nonprofit association that focuses solely on the protection and preservation of steel, concrete and other industrial and marine structures through the use of high-performance coatings; representatives will be on hand to discuss the organization.

Stuart Steel Protection (Booth 1811) features its FLC 7 Atmospheric Coating, a waterborne acrylic polymer that the company says is 65 percent solids, 200 percent elastomeric, and resistant to acid and salt. Produced by FrontLine Coatings, it will be on display in the Product Showcase.

Sulzer Mixpac Inc. (Booth 851) will be on hand to discuss its Mixcoat line for stripe coating, touch-up, repair and complex spray projects. Mixcoat cartridge technology, the company says, has been tested for a variety of epoxies, urethanes, polyureas, polysiloxanes and polyaspartics.
